These terms apply when you book work with Black River Aerials. Your written quote describes the specific services, deliverables and price for your project.
Quotes and booking
Quotes are valid for 30 days. A booking is confirmed once you accept the quote and we agree on a flight window.
Weather, safety and airspace
All flights are made by an FAA Part 107 certified pilot and follow FAA rules. We fly only when weather, airspace and site conditions are safe. The pilot may delay, shorten or reschedule a flight for safety at any time. Weather reschedules are free.
You confirm that we have permission to take off and land at the locations you provide, or you’ll tell us who to ask.
Cancellations
You can cancel or reschedule without charge up to 24 hours before the flight window. Later cancellations, or arriving to find the site inaccessible, may be billed at up to half the booked price.
Payment and delivery
Payment is due when your files are delivered. Full-resolution files are released once payment is received. Recurring construction plans are billed monthly, or per 5-day block for daily coverage, and have a 3-month minimum unless your quote says otherwise.
Use of images
Black River Aerials keeps the copyright in all photos, video, maps and models we create. You receive a license to use your deliverables to document, manage, finance, market and report on your project, and to share them with anyone involved in it.
Ask us before using images for other purposes, such as reselling them. We may show your project in our own marketing unless you ask us not to.
Maps and models
Our maps, 3D models and measurements are visual documentation. They are not a land survey, a boundary determination or an engineering assessment, and measurements are approximate. For legal boundaries or precise measurements, use a licensed surveyor or engineer.
Inspections
Inspection photos and reports show what is visible from the air at the time of the flight. They are not a licensed home inspection, roof certification, engineering assessment or insurance determination.
Project pages
Project pages are private to the people you ask us to invite. You’re responsible for telling us when someone should lose access. We’ll tell you before a project page is closed, so you can download anything you want to keep.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid for those services.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.
